  • Tell Me That You're Alright

Lots of good things are going on and in flux.  Work is going to take one of a multitude of paths very soon.  The being at the NASDAQ thing has been pretty good.  Definitely increased my publicity, and I'm a bit of a man that likes attention.

I was talking with a friend the other day, and she speculated that people want to get ahead in their careers for one of 3 reasons: Money, Recognition, or Power.  I'm definitely on the power side.  Not because I want to have control, but because I think that it's best when I'm in control.

I knew a certain manager was shit when I worked at La Suprema.  And though it took longer than I would have liked, she got sacked eventually.  Just one great example of my company consulting skills.

I like to know things.  Check that, I NEED to know things.  Not just secret information, but how things work.  That's why I constantly ask questions or research things that people never care about.  What did ever happen to the Arch Deluxe?  I'll look it up and learn.

I worked a whole lot this past week, with very little time to go to the gym.  I made up for that by not eating.  I don't get hungry so much when I don't work out anyway.  Luckily, I was able to go to the gym last night.  Felt great.  An awesome release.  Like a relief valve.

And today I slept in til 6:30 and already finished a 6 mile run.

I know it's doucheish, but I went sans-shirt for the first time this year.  Tan lines are lame.  And I like to think I'm fit enough to pull it off.  I plan to go running everyday in Krakow, and I envision the women queuing up to watch.

I made a contact with this fella at work who is hooking me up with a chance to visit our Poland office.  Makes me feel like a real high flyer.  Maybe they can throw some free women my way too.  Or some relatively inexpensive ones.
