  • Dragons In The Future

The other day I asked one of my better questions.  If you could have any animal as a pet, and the animal would have the same temperament of a really well-trained, loyal dog, what animal would you get?

My coworker says an elephant, but I don't agree.  You can't cuddle with an elephant.  And it would break your bed at nap time.  My answer would be a lion.  But that's under my assumption that they are big enough for me to ride on.  That would be perfect.  Perfect defense.  Nice mane to keep you warm at winter.  Good for tricks.

A load of things would be different if I was in charge.  For one thing, there wouldn't be any homeless people on the side of the roads.  Unless it was one of their corpses that just hadn't been dragged off yet.

This flu thing I got makes me think about the human body.  I understand that pain works as a sort of warning, like, hey something's wrong.  But when you get a virus, there should be a way to deactivate it.  Like when the computer gives you a warning and you can click the "don't show me this again" button.  There should be a way to be like, "Yeah, I know I'm sick. Don't give me pain again."

Rebate cards as the greatest invention of the technological age.  I got this $100 card for my phone, and I just got another one from my recent contact purchase.  Spending it feels like spending free money.  And that feels good.

Doing my taxes this year is going to be too complicated.  I'm not looking forward to it.  Why can't every company just send information to the IRS with your name on it, and then they sort it all out for you?  You get a job, they mail in your wages, ta-da. You buy a house, it gets logged with the government, presto.

I'm always touting that people who are scared about their privacy being violated are just criminals.  I would love to have a GPS tracker on me at all times.  That way when a murder happens, they can cross check who was in the location at that time, and blammo, there's your killer.  And I was far away abiding the law.  These are all great ideas.
