  • Turn Your Bleeding Hearts Into Some Bleeding Hands

I'm giving myself undue stress with all this studying up on stocks during my free time lately.  I know pretty much all the jargon.  I learned about trailing stop orders tonight.  I'll activate that brain mode soon.

For all my anglophilia and wanting to move to Britain, I'm not such a fan of this cold.  Maybe it's just because I'm not expecting it, living in Houston and all, so I get more bothered by it.  It's so cold in my apartment that the thermostat goes all the way to the left, out of the temperature reading zone.

But artificial heat has a way of drying me like an old woman, giving me a headache, and making me want to slit my throat.  So, I'll just wear a hoodie like some sort of hobo now.

We're having this big all company meeting at work tomorrow.  I've used my new found financial knowledge to come up with a good question, but I'm not sure if it's applicable to ask.  They'd probably think I'm a goon.  You gotta know your room, rule #1 of comedy.  I'll judge the vibe.

Whilst running today, I was thinking I might be into getting an MBA.  I always liked the business related classes I took in college, and I dominated and made an A in Chemical Engineering Economics.  But then my inner economist tells me that spending $88,500 dollars for this tack-on degree that may or may not do anything to help me in my career might not be fiscally sound or a good use of time.

I've got the Houston Marathon coming up in something like 12 days.  The 12 days of torture I'll call it.  I'm not scared, my mind has powered through worse.  4 hours of running is less than one morning of work.  And running is funner and more scenic.

In other impending doom related news, UT is in the National Championship game Thursday, then the Cowboys have a playoff game Saturday.

I'm reminded of when the Cowboys blew it in epic fashion 3 years ago when me and my main man Jeffrey were watching from a sports bar in Los Angeles.  I drowned my sorrows with alcohol that night, but it still stings a bit.  I take this stuff pretty seriously.

i know you've settled into your apartment and have things on your walls now.. but what if when your lease was up you moved to a place with a functional fire place?! real heat! and i have a feeling you would love making fires.

idea #2- get the mba! education is never a waste of funds and you might meet a smarty pants hottie in the meantime. (less likely in the engineering world from what i've been told) i am writing my thesis now for a ms, miserable, but it's my last project before graduation!

Studying up on investing is great.  Remember to enjoy life, too.

The MBA idea sounds good--what careers in business are you interested in?

Wow, good luck on the Houston Marathon--may the temperatures at least be in the 30s during it!

@AncienTree - I'm always more interested in business development, commercial development, and emerging market type stuff.  I don't really have a technically-geared mind for a chemical engineer.

business development... are you still making lotsa dollas from your pimpin?

xoxo to iron pirate. thanks for the link. big smiles from a big fan!

@RachElizabeth214 - had to tweak that business model a bit.  the economic downturn put a crunch on pimps too.  but, i feel the chinese crack/hoes industry could pop anytime.
