  • Dear Sons and Daughters of Hungry Ghosts

Waking up at 5:00am and then getting home post-running at 7:20pm makes me feel like a real man.  Finally.

Sometimes the weirdest things happen.  And sometimes they are so weird they make me giddy.  Take this incredible experience for instance.  I go to the vending machine at work, and what do they have in there inexplicably... PRINCE POLO BARS!

Dun, dun, duunnnnn.  For those not in the know (mostly everyone in the world) a Prince Polo is the most popular candy bar in Poland.  Judging by the fore-linked wikipedia article, I'm not even sure if they sell them in the US of A.

My theory is that some Polack conned the guy at the vending machine supply company into buying some.  Or maybe the guy at the vending machine supply company found a free box of them behind some dumpster somewhere.  Who knows.  And yes, I checked the bar, just like me, they are MADE IN POLAND.

I know there's a certain segment of the population that craves pictures of me attending coworker's birthday dinners and said coworkers trying to eat a cupcake in one bite.  In fact, that's probably my most important demographic.  So without further ado...

    Sizing Up His Competition

    Attack!

    Victory for the Horde.

    Serial killer looks.

    Ta-da!

Disclaimer: I'm going through my bi-annual "I feel like growing my hair out" phase.

I love that whatever organization it is that runs Smokey The Bear out there every few decades is back at it again with new commercials.  I like his new cool 3D look.  And his new catchphrase: "Get Your Smokey On."  Think, some advertising company actually got paid to come up with that.

I'm a Chemical Engineer and I can come up with 3 better slogans in less than 30 seconds. Ready. Go.

"Where there's Smokey, there shouldn't be fire."
"If you burn a bear, you'll end up burned."
"Blaze the hippie lettuce, not the forest."

Okay, those may need a little work.
