  • Endlessly Caving In And Turning Inside Out

This is supposed to be the time of day when my mind refocuses on blogging and trying to write something meaningful yet strangely entertaining.  But, as happened at work, my mind is being siphoned off!

Yes, all my mental capacity is being slowly but surely sucked away... thinking about, that's right, the stellar vacation I'm going on in a couple of days now.  That's why companies have to give you vacation time.  If I was just at work not having this to look forward to right now, it would be the thought of ending myself that'd be sapping my mind resources.

But no harm, no foul.  All of the cool stuff I ordered, mainly clothes and shoes, and just-in-case, flip-flops have come in.  Also, I have recently become the proud owner of a North Face backpack.

Don't worry, I already adorned it with 5 or so cool keychains like a dragon and a Cowboys Star, so people won't think I'm just a random preppy kid whose spoiled and whose parents got them an expensive backpack.  I earned it myself, damn it.

Back when I worked at La Suprema (chronicled here-in, something like Summer 2004), I would make $5.25 an hour so I would have to use that money wisely.  But I would always do the fun math.

Going to a movie? $7.50 for a ticket.  But the movie is fun for about 2 hours.  2 hours of work is $10.50 in profit.  So, yes, the movie is a sound investment, because it cost less than you make at work.

A videogame was like 50 bucks.  That's a big deal.  10 hours of work pretty much.  But would I play the game more than 10 hours?  If yes, then it's a good buy.

I can't do that as much anymore.  Now a videogame's 60 bucks? Will I play it for a wage-neutral coupla hours? Sure.  But that doesn't mean I should buy it.

It's like Puff Daddy said along time ago.  Mo' Money, Mo' Problems.

Except, now I have mo' money, but I also get mo' awesome trips to Spain with mo' attractive female companions.  And that seems like less problems, to me.  Maybe we shouldn't trust rappers for financial advise after all.
