  • A Great Day

Today might have been the best work day I've had so far in my tenure.  For a Tuesday, that's saying something.

I knew good things were afoot when I woke up and went outside for work.  There was this random chick wearing like a purple nighty type thing going out to her car for something.  Bear(bare?) in mind that it was something like 45 degrees and 6am.  She was getting something from her trunk or something.  And scampering around all frantically, probably because it was 45 degrees and she was in a nighty, and there was a random guy coming out to his car for work (me).  It was inexplicable, and at the same time, inexplicably awesome.  A good omen for sure.

Then work was good in the morning and I was decently productive.  I listened to the Album of the Week: Fantasy Black Channel by Late of the Pier 3 times, so I had that going for me.

Then in the afternoon there was an awesome voting war at work.  It basically become a no-holds-barred online voting battle between my department and a select group of people conning other departments.  It's hard to explain, but the moral is that it was awesome and funny and a landmark day.  It was a little like the movie 300 except for the sides are pretty much equal and the 300 side won.  Of course, I played Leonidas.

The bad news is that the shows I DVR on the weekend, Battlestar Galactica and Flight of the Conchords, are done for the series and the season respectively, greatly decreasing my weekly "look forward to" factor.  Luckily, conversely, my life "look forward to" factor has taken leaps and bound lately.

Other bad news is that I try to use Firefox now because Internet Explorer always crashes even though my computer is like one month old, but the CTRL-B function brings up a bookmark rather than bolding my text.  But if that's all I have to complain about then I can't complain.
