Economic Stimulus
So, I was turbotaxing the other day and salivating over my upcoming huge tax refund.
I figured I could make a xanga post about things I want to buy and also try to get some suggestions on stuff that's cool for a guy like me to have.
But, as I oft do, I have pre-empted myself, as I have made a few purchases already as I await the upcoming refund.- Geico Auto Insurance - Not only do they have the best commercials, and they have like 4 different types of awesome commercials and memorable characters. But, they had the cheapest auto insurance rate for me. 600 dollars a year cheaper than Progressive. So, I'm now part of the Geico family.
- Recently, I was talking to the Second-In-Command of my Department at work. This is the same man who did The Lopping on The Day Of Lopping. So, we were having friendly chat and I found out he liked to play golf. I then asked if it's a good idea to learn how to play golf if I want to end up a stunner like him. He said probably so, and plus it's fun. So I decided to get a good starters kit.
- This computer is 5.5 years old. I like to lay it on my chest as I type (I am doing this now). However, it often overheats and I end up with red burn marks on my chest. This is a slight problem. It's general slowness, missing U and J buttons, and the fact that it could die at any time made it a huge liability. Plus, Dell had 25% off this weekend and I get 7% off on top of that through my work. So, I ordered a new computer.
So, kind of exciting. My new computer will be here soon. And, actually just today, I thought of a way I could make this old one last for me longer. When I went running today, I stuck my laptop in the refrigerator. A few hours later, it was nice and cold and ran pretty well. It delayed the overheating process by a good bit. I think this could be a good idea. As long as your computer isn't cold beyond repair.
And with all this, I still have over 50% of my tax refund intact. So, a productive weekend all in all. My consumeristic future is so bright, it's gotta wear shades. - Geico Auto Insurance - Not only do they have the best commercials, and they have like 4 different types of awesome commercials and memorable characters.
