  • There is a Languor of the Life

It's the end of an era.  After 9 years, 80 thousand miles, and countless memories: The Mustang is no more.

    I introduce now... The Charger.

    2009charger

I'm up to about 50 miles on it now.  It's 2009 equipped with a 5.7 liter V8 Hemi Engine with 370 HP.  I'm not a car guy, but the translation is that it's got power.  If I was a car, I'd be this.  Strong, fast, sleek, and... black.

My trade in of the S-Tang garnered... wait for it... 1,000 dollars.  But that's cool.  It's in car heaven.  The memories will not be soon forgotten.

When I was cleaning it out, I found this...

    directions

The directions I used to find college my first day of orientation with my former partner in crime Andres, aka Andre Thegiant.  Wild.  How the time flies.  I can only hope my new car brings that many memories with it.

Thanks to the languishing economy, I was able to fenagle a pretty sweet deal for it.  And it feels good to help the American worker.  Because, well, I'm an American worker in a manner of speaking.

Oh, and it is a 2009.  Pronounced "two thousand nine".  Not "two thousand AND nine".  I don't know when that started bothering me so bad, but it does.  You didn't say "nineteen and eighty five" did you?

I haven't been training enough for my second half marathon.  I hope it doesn't become like my second 10K, also known as the worst 50 or so minutes of my life.

I was doing the elliptical type thing with custom strides today, something like this:

But then I had too long of a stride once and banged my knee on it and then noticed like 20 minutes later that I had scraped my knee and had been bleeding.  'Tis Pain's Successor -- When the Soul Has suffered all it can.
