Moonwalk Down Memory Lane
I think I have the same amount of takes on life and the world as usual, but my memory always fails me. I wish I had a phone with a stylus so I could write down my thoughts like a notepad. Otherwise the cool things I do slip my mind.
Example:
The other day I left my apartment at 6:15 AM as usual and I saw this truck in the parking lot that had a note in the windshield. The note said something like "Hey! Park in your own parking space!" or something like that. We have assigned parking numbers.
This truck happened to have all these lawn type supplies in the back like a rake. So I thought, "Hey, this is going to be awesome." So I took the rake and I stuck it on the hood. And then I pulled this extension cord out of the bed of the truck and wrapped it around the exhaust pipe.
So, whoever comes out to their truck will think, "Whatever tool that has this parking space that I parked in left me a note and then messed with my stuff." Then they will find out who has that parking lot and stab them. Which is exactly what I was going for.
Other example: I am so used to my routine that I almost walked directly into a guy who was standing at the urinal I always use.
Something cool: we have this new awesome guy who transferred here from our UK office at work. He claims he wanted to come to Houston for a lifestyle change. Who would want to change to a worse lifestyle? I have never shied away for my love of all things British. I wish I could have traded with him.
I have been job-hopping at work lately which is a big problem. I DO NOT do well with boredom. Boredom makes me do bad things because bad things don't bore me. That's why I have channeled my energy into productive things like organizing my cabinets rather than fireable prank-related or shit-talking offenses. Also, I have been walking around and talking to people randomly. Like that cool British guy.
I can really get with the positivity around the Obama inauguration. Atleast from the media. I haven't really seen as much in real life. I'm basically just glad we have a president who I'm not double digit times smarter than. I can not picture George Bush sitting and working on a computer. I think that's a bad thing. I bet his desktop has atleast 20+ icons on it, and no quickstart on the taskbar, and probably the 800x600 resolution on it. 3 surefire ways to tell if someone is either too old or too dumb. I'm not getting political with it, just realist with it.
I'm not perfect, though. Words I routinely misspell: Guarantee and Guard. I'm probably 30x accurate on this. Automatic spellcheck and the fact that I can load my 401K by typing either vanguard.com or misspelling it vangaurd.com don't help me remember.
At some point between highschool and right now I started crossing my Z's and my 7's. I CANNOT EXPLAIN THIS! Okay, I can explain half. I started crossing my Z's when doing math in college so I wouldn't confuse them my my 2's. This was a big life decision because I use a Z to spell my name and actually identify myself with it. But, the mystery of the crossed 7 will remain just that, a mystery.
