All Good Things...
Today marks the five year anniversary of this blog. I actually can remember it very clearly.
There I was, a naive 18-year-old college freshman sitting in his dorm room, pounding away on his keyboard about something random and ridiculous.
And look, how far I've come. Now I'm a naive 23-year-old college graduate sitting in his apartment doing the same thing.
If you had told me back then that I'd have 5 years and some 1,466 posts in me, I probably wouldn't have believed it, and made some profane comment.
It's been a good ride from there to here. And I've appreciated having this medium to chronicle it. I think I've come a long way on things. Lots of experiences, lots of changes, and maybe not all for the better. But it's never been about the destination. This was all about the journey.
But, I feel that there's been enough of a metamorphosis, from college kid to young adult, to justify closing this book.
And, to be honest, five years is some pretty good symmetry. So, I got that going for me, which nice.
This will be my last post on this Xanga. Will I ever return to the world of blogging? I don't like to rule things out. But, for all practical purposes, you can consider this portion of the story over. And there's really only one way I know how to close things out...
The End.
