Director's Commentary
I had an awesome day yesterday. We were off from work, but I went in anyway. I wish it was like that all the time. No one around, I can wear whatever I want, I can play on the internet or phone when I feel like it, because I'm working for free.
Then I went and ran at the park. The weather is pretty cool here. This will actually magically be my first fall living in Houston. All my living in Houston in the past came around spring times.
I suck at sleeping in. That's why I'm up at 7am on a Saturday. But, I had this weird idea. I've never tried it before. So, here's what it is. I'm going to put up a post from this day, and I can choose either 5,4,3,2, or 1 year ago. Then I'll comment on it. My comments are in blue. So here we go: September 27, 2005.Tuesday, September 27, 2005So Nederland is closed for like a million years?
Why don't they hire a crew of robots to come fix it?
This was when Hurricane Rita hit and owned my hometown. They hired weirdo losers to fix it instead of robots. It pretty radically changed the town forever, but it seems the hurricanes will pwn it over and over again anyway.
They mentioned Lamar in our school paper today so that's a plus.
It's a sad sad thing.
That would be crazy if our senior years had been f'd up for so long.
I almost envy the Lamar kids who don't have to go anymore.
School is for losers.
The goons who were seniors that year had to miss school for like months. Lamar is a college. I had friends who went there. I still think school is for losers, although I went on to graduate. Fall 2005 was not a good semester for me scholastically. My grades were... not good.
The USPS needs Jeffrey, Gillispie, and Guidry to come back strong and encode some mail. How else will the junk mail be routed properly.
The post office had this encoding center thing in town there where some of my friends worked. They eventually closed it when robots got good enough to read mail. I seemed to have a distaste for junk mail 3 years ago, but it has only grown since. It is like to the third power, now.
I want to go to Deadwood, South Dakota, for vacation. The catch is, I want to go there in the 1800's.
This could still be seen as true. I love that town because it's where Wild Bill Hickock got killed. I still want to go on vacation there. But, the 2000's would be acceptable.Posted 9/27/2005 5:14 PM - 1 view - 1 comments - edit it
I liked that segment. I'll make it a weekly fixture. You know what they say, learn from your blogs of the past or you'll be doomed to repeat it in the future. Socrates was a smart guy.
