  • Secretary (of War (or Defense))

Today marks another day that seemed to take way longer than a day should take.  One reason might be because my only task is to print stuff and cut it out with scissors ERRRR make binders ERRRR do invaluable and priceless organizing.

This also marks the third day in a row where I feel sick.  My symptoms include my blood sugar plummetting randomly and my legs shaking for no reason, as well as a general feeling of physical discontent.

I have narrowed down my possible ailments to diabetes, kidney failure, rabies, or spider bite. But, whatever, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.  Unless you get your legs chopped off.

Actually, some (people that are stupid) would argue that even if your arms and legs are destroyed you are still stronger because you are stronger mentally.  But who cares if someone who is quadrapalegic is mentally strong?  Unless they are telekinetic, there is nothing they could do to you.

I successfully won secretary of the young people organization thingie at work.  I would like to offer my condolences to my competitors: no one.  However, I am now the secretary of a group with over 40 members, and funding, and the ability to get me a free shirt.

It's like what Obi Wan said to Darth Vader in the original Star Wars.  "If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."  Except it's more like "If you elect me secretary, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."

My first duty will be to conduct a survey and perhaps some scientific research to settle that age old question: which eraser is better, Magic Rub or the Pink Pearl?

    magic

My opinion: Magic Rub.  This is probably 95% due to the fact that it has Magic in its name and I like the idea of using magic.

I read Jenna Fischer's whole myspace blog the other day.  She was really good and really cool.  Not as good as my blog, but what is?  Nothing earthly.

So am I in love with her now?  Yeah, probably.  But what can I do about it?  She lives in Los Angeles and I'm here in Houston and with all my duties and responsibilities, it's probably best I don't get into a long distance relationship right now.

    abracadabra!
Wow! It sounds like you have a very unexciting job! It sounds like work a third-grader could do...no offense. I also think I'm getting sick. Given your symptoms, I'd say it's rabies. A free shirt? Congratulations! Hey maybe you could recommend the Magic Rub eraser to Jenna... kindle the relationship. =)

@casmarie - Usually my job involves extremely difficult tasks almost paradoxical in complication - like designing a rock so big that even I can't lift it, and then trying to lift it.  But binders don't make themselves, so you know how that goes.
