  • The Long Con

I was conned yesterday.  Hoodwinked.  Duped. Bamboozled. Made a fool of. By iTunes and more specifically, its distributing company, Apple Inc.

Everytime I loaded it, it would be like "Your iPod can have new software blah blah blah".  So eventually I was like, "Okay, sounds good."

So it loaded the new software on the iPod and took like 4 minutes, so I was like "Okay, sounds good."  But then I tried to load iTunes and it claimed that I needed the new version.  So I was like, "Okay... sounds okay."

But then the next hour was spent downloading and installing the millions of megabites of iTunes and the mandatory Quicktime (aka Slowtime, aka ObsoleteTime, aka PieceOfShitTime). So I had to sit there while my ever-aging computer handled up on that for seemingly years.

I'll never fall for that again.  One of my main mottos in life is, "If it's not broken, don't fix it."  That's why I have the AIM from about 6 years ago.  Because it hasn't broken.  Friggin' updates.

I'm gonna break my don't talk about dreams because they are lame and not interesting policy once more.  But only because it segways into real life.

I had a dream that this gigantic bee was buzzing around me and my fear was so intense that I shook and spasmed in an effort to swat it away, and I woke myself up.  So after that, I was like "Okay... that sucked."

I have a don't-talk-about-my-dreams policy.  Because I sound so lame when I talk about my dreams.  It's just impossible to not sound lame when talking about flying away from zombies.
