  • Under Cover

It seems like my incredible vitamin E lotion / aloe regimine could possibly get me through the whole sunburnt to death thing without so much as peeling.  I'm less lobster, and more of a crab complexion now.

I've had thoughts about writing this great book for a few years now.  It's never gotten past one page, but I have the whole thing outlined in my dome.  I'll be able to sit down and get after it more when I graduate.

But, yesterday was monumental as I designed the cover.

Pretty sweet I think.  And yeah, Travis Zephyr is my sweet ass pen name.  Everyone cool needs a cool pen name, that's obvious.

I wish I could fast-forward about three months and just be going to work and have everything settled and be perpetually kicking ass. But, I'm not one to complain.  Much.

Oh, I'm looking at getting a new car soon.  I want, check that, I need a Dodge Charger.  Who cares about MPG, I'm going to live about 7 miles from work.  Checking the apartment out Friday in H-Town.

The availability of beef jerky is something that's sort of disheartening to me.  I think that it should be sold in every vending machine and small shop type fixture.  Everyone loves beef jerky, so sell it everywhere.

Addendum: Here's something that happened today that I thought was hilarious. So I'm sitting there in the computer lab working on our project, and my partner was talking to this other guy and I overheard their conversation.
And this guy is like "Yeah, I'm in Analytical Chemistry again because I made a D in it the first time."
And I'm like, "Dude, all you need is a D in that class."
Apparently, this guy thought he needed a C in the class for it to count, but that is only true for some classes that are prereq's for others.  So he took it again for essentially no reason.  And there's only 2 weeks left in the semester - too late to quit.
He was in denial at first, but then others there vouched for my fact. He stood there dumbstruck for a few minutes, contemplating the huge mistake he had made.  Then he said he wished I hadn't told him that.  I think I ruined his day.  It was awesome.

Sweet cover. You sure you want to wait until after graduation to start really writing on it? My mother use to say the same thing. Then she ended up with seven kids and hardly a thing to show for the life she left behind.

I do agree with the "seet ass pen name" theory, though. My pen name's Ligeia de Valois. I think it's....mysterious? Or maybe I like it because it's a little less white-bread than Kayla Hamill.

@SaintLi - I graduate in a month so it's really not too long of a wait.  And I won't be having seven kids anytime soon *knock on wood*.

Congrats on graduating. And I totally agree with the beef jerky proposal. It should be sold everywhere!!!!

Zephyr makes me think of passing wind--is that what you're going for there?

I saw a bunch of Dodge Chargers at a dealer today as 'today's special', I ALMOST stopped to test drive one, but the last time I did that I said "I'll take it" and bough a completely impractical car. Don't need to do that again.
