Here's a sobering thought. I start work two, count 'em, two months from today. Two months ago today was Groundhog Day, and that seems like just yesterday. I guess it's good though, because I could use some money.
Now, my failures at intramural softball have been well documented. 2 games, 3 strikeouts, zero times on base. But then Monday night turned into one of the alltime great performances in sport history.
I went from never getting on base, to not only getting on base, but scoring 4 times. It all started my first at-bat, where I roped one right up the middle. It felt so good to be on base, that I knew I had to be back again. Then the next at-bat I walked, and then my third at-bat I swung full strength and hit a weak groundball, but then I was like "Go go super speed!" and I beat out the throw. Same thing for the fourth at-bat.
And everytime I got on base, I scored. That's thanks to my stellar teammates. And being the team guy that I am, the only important thing is that we won. Let this serve as a lesson, if you follow your dreams, they can sometimes come true. In softball atleast.
A true historian of my Xanga would know that yesterday wasn't the
first time I pulled such a prank. Oh, I love April Fool's Day.

Oh, and in order for you to fully grasp the accomplishment of scoring 4 times in a single game, I've placed 16 wonderful animated .gifs in this post. One .gif for every base I earned in the game. I think that really puts it in perspective.
