Softball and Pyramid Schemes
My IM softball team won tonight. I chronicled our loss last week where I sucked eggs. I made huge progress over the course of the week.
Last week I struck out twice and never contacted the ball. This week I actually hit little dribbling grounders twice for outs. Great success.
Now I'll attempt to get a hit. Baby steps.
Today I saw this ultra old dude at the store. He looked so old he was like a skeleton. But he had this shirt on that was from some blood drive a long time ago. It said like, "Blood Drive '91". Here's an approximation.
At first I figured that was a good investment, because he is still wearing the shirt he got 17 years after the fact. But then I figured he probably wishes he had some of that blood right about now. Maybe stored up somewhere.
I've never given blood to a blood drive. It probably hurts and everyone knows it's just a scheme for vampires to get blood to drink. I've seen this fact in multiple sources including Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Sergei Lukyanenko's Night Watch series.
And I don't trust the nurses pricking you. When they are taking out your blood, how do you know they're not putting stuff back in? Like cyanide.
Here's a confidential picture I found.
The moral of the story is that you can't trust anyone. And they become that much more untrustworthy when they have needles and access to your veins.
And I won't fall for their advertising tools. Like their fluffy characters.
Why would I want to hug a giant drop of blood? Wouldn't I get blood all over me? That is disgusting not to mention not sanitary.
Why would you be hugging the blood anyway? You're giving the blood away. I guess it could be considered a hug goodbye to your blood. I'd rather hug a giant syringe.
Now that's a good marketing campaign. I came up with it. I get points for that.
