  • Snow Week

I head out on an epic skiing trip tomorrow in Colorado.  I'm going with my dad and I'm stoked.  I haven't skiied in a long time, minus the one day in Tennessee this past Christmas.

One thing that inspires me about this trip is the book The Road by Cormac McCarthy.  That is the ultimate tale of a trip taken by a father and son.  Not to mention, it's a pretty sweet book regardless.  I hope my trip is that cool.  Minus the post-apocalypsism.

What is with this sub-arctic temperature in Austin in March no less? Global warming, my ass.  I was forced to run last night in full Eskimo gear.  I won't even mention the hellish windchill.

My friend and I were caught in an icy cold rain tornado on our journey between classes yesterday.  My piece of shit umbrella stood no chance and was inverted multiple times, leaving me and her soaked.  Not to mention that the area near the RLM is somehow the vortex of the universe and always has tornadic winds.

I had an e-mail read on Rome today that started Rome talking for a good bit.  It was excellent.  Everytime I hear him say "TZ in Austin", it sends me into a super euphoric state.  It's one of the greatest feelings in my life, honestly.  It makes me jump around with glee.

My e-mail was in response to a story about soccer player David Beckham leaving a 900 dollar tip on a 100 dollar tab.  It goes back to an old rumor that former basketball player Scottie Pippen was a horrible tipper.

    Listen!

Anyway, I'll be gone for a week or so.  Take some time to read the Best of the First Three Years of my blog.  I haven't added the highlights from the last year and a half or so to the list, but that oughta keep you occupied.
