  • Stripped of Dignity

One thing I've never had a desire to visit, and I can pretty sincerely say I'll never visit, is a strip club.  Okay, whenever "Bunny" the stripper handed us her card which doubled as a $1 off coupon back at IHOP when I was a highschool senior, I considered going for a split second.

Then I remembered that "Sweethearts" was probably the most ghettofied establishment this side of Compton, and that all the strippers probably had bullet holes, so I never actually went.

I don't care about my level of desperation, I will never directly pay someone to have them strut around naked.  Especially in the company of other men.  I barely tolerate using a urinal next to another man, why would I want to stare at naked women with one?

It's just a degrading experience all around.  The women are admitting they have no shame and are willing to trade their dignity for a few dollars in order to feed their kids, but more importantly, feed their crystal meth addiction.

And the men are admitting that they don't have the qualities or charisma necessary to achieve any sort of consensual nakedness with a woman, so they have to pay for it.

And who would eat in one of these establishments?  Actually ingesting food in the presence of some of the nastiest skanks in the area?  I'd rather eat out of the dumpster.

They recently initiated a "sin tax" around here, where these sort of places are required to pay a certain amount per visitor.  Some strip club radio ads are like "We'll pay your sin tax! Don't let the government decide what you do for your leisure time!"  Or better yet, take the hint and find another hobby.  Play Sudoku, or do a crossword puzzle, or better yet, get yourself presentable, roll on some deodorant, and go try to establish an actual relationship with a woman.

I won't even get into the more unsavory oddities of the whole situation, namely, paying actual cash just for an erection.  If you want to pitch a tent, join the boyscouts.

I basically live by the mantra "To each his own", but that doesn't mean I can't think you're a pathetic goon for whatever it is you choose to do.
