• Reunion

  I'm currently hanging out with Joey, Phil, Greg, Steve, and Guidry, and I could not be happier. 
  
  It's incredible we can have months hiatus and then not miss a beat.
  
  Rock Band might be the greatest party game ever created.  Except for spin the bottle, of course. And seven minutes in the closet.  Or whatever that perverted sexcapade is. 
  
  Adulthood can wait.  For a long time.
  
  I've discovered another awesome show thanks to this visit.  I'll be buying "Flight of the Conchords" ASAP.
  
  On another note, everytime I drink seems to snowball into a few days of regret. So I might need to hold off on that for a while.  Unfortunately, drinking is a prerequisite of any socialness and/or fun, generally.
  
  Vicious cycle? Aw well, I'll own it. I'll accept anything I say or do. 
  
  Decades of friendship is something irreplacable.  There are certain puzzle pieces in the soul that only old friends can fit with. 
  
  Addendum: And there are some others that I haven't found a way to fill yet.  It's been a strange few weeks. 
  
  I just take solace in the fact that one day this will all be past.  And I'll be looking back from a point of unbridled happiness.  These changes ain't changing me. 
  
  I'm falling back on the abstract. It's exactly where I'm at.
  
  I don't know what I would do if I couldn't find parallels to my life in song lyrics, TV shows, and movies.  I'd probably be on the wrong end of a noose. Or atleast the business end of a syringe full of heroine. 
  
  Double Addendum: I stayed up all night watching Flight of the Conchords episodes.  Now I have this intense desire to move to New Zealand. I couldn't get to sleep anyway since I was without my usual drowsiness cocktail.  And I read that sleep deprivation is an effective albeit temporary treatment for depression.  So I got that going for me.
  
  Which is nice.
