Funny story. Well, actually not funny. Just coincidental.
I drew the following episode of RATC a few days ago, and while drawing it, I noted how I had actually not seen an actual Girl Scout selling cookies in years, if not ever.
Then I'm at HEB just a couple of days ago, and I see some Girl Scouts perched outside selling cookies.
To thank them for their inspiration for this comic, I proceeded to not buy any cookies. And I walked past them while avoiding eye contact.
Well, with that introduction...
Is it possible that my drawing skills have actually gotten worse over the past 18 or so years? I used googlenews's new archive feature to search for my name the other day, and the only article I found was a blurb about how I won a
Christmas Stocking Drawing contest back in '90 at good old Cunningham Elementary in Austin.
I remember that because I got a whole stocking full of candy as a prize. And I would sneak in from recess to eat more. Those were the days.
My mom was good enough to find this winning masterpiece and you can check it out
here.
