  • Here I Sit

So I drowned my sorrows in some working out.  Then I proceeded to drown them in entertainment, as I started watching Heroes Season 2.

Then I finished watching Heroes Season 2.  In the same night.  Eh, it was only 11 hour long episodes, nothing major.

I really dug it though.  Alot.  I was only going to watch a couple and then go to bed, but, I couldn't.

And eventually it got late enough that it didn't make sense going to sleep before having to wake up for my 8 o'clock class anyway.  So I marathoned through.

Now, the writer's strike is finally effecting me, as the show is in a forced hiatus.

Watching serials weekly is fun.  But hey, waiting and watching it all at once instead is pretty fun too.  Who knows what I like more?  I guess looking forward to stuff is fun.  I'll watch LOST serialized when it comes back.

So school will be, different, to say the least this semester.  Quite the change from last sememester when I had all Chemical Engineering classes and they all were in the exact same classroom.

I get to throw in some freshman stuff now, like history and biology.  It's fun being in the big lecture type classes again.  Makes me feel young.

All the young people around me make me feel old though.  All talking about their schedules and how they're planning out their next semesters.  No more next semesters for yours truly.

I must admit, I feel an aire of superiority in there too.  Yeah, because I'm graduating soon. But also because I'm graduating Chemical Engineering soon.  This biology and history hodgepodge can't phase me.

I find myself back in the good old Chemical Engineering computer lab now though.  Even though I don't have to come to this building except for one class, I am still drawn here.  I mean, it's home.

That weird kind of broken home that you're scared to come home to but you don't know where else to go.  Chemical Engineering is my abusive alcoholic stepdad.
