Today was pretty cool as I successfully completed a 5K. That's about 3.2 miles to you laymen.
And I did it all without ever walking, which is a pretty big deal to me.
My official finished time was around 35:32, but due to the massive crowd (around 4000 people), we never even made it past the start line till about 4:12 into the race, and there was a lot of having to slow down for crowds to be done, so all in all I'd say it took me about 30 minutes.
Thanks to my recent training, and my Dr. Scholl's soles that I put on top of the already good soles I had, I never had any leg pain, and I really didn't get too out of breath.
I'm thinking about taking on a 10K now sometime within a few months. Now, there's a goal for you.
