My strange obsession with the song "Right Back Where We Started From" by Maxine Nightingale is a bit worrisome. I've always liked 1970's pop as much as the next guy, but I somehow consider this the perfect song.
It's even stranger because I had never had it in my collection of thousands of mp3's that I spent collecting over the past 8+ years. ERRRR, all legally of course.
Speaking of music, my little brother (4 years old) offered some fine insight into a song the other day. We were hanging around my car listening to some Guns N Roses. Initially he showed his approval for the song "Welcome to the Jungle" (which happens to be a main staple of The Jim Rome Show) by "raising the roof" when this old neighbor came over.
I then decided to ask him what he thought. It went something like this.
Me - "Do you like this song?"
Nick - "Yes."
Me - "It's by Guns N Roses.
Nick - "... it's about the jungle."
Very true.
I'm trying my best to keep my eye on the prize right now. Atleast I only have about 6 months left. What will be the prize to keep my eye on after that though?
The world may never know.
