• History

  I have been taking this history class online.  Reading about history is actually pretty cool.
  
  I like learning about the 1700's and stuff and wars and fighting.  Life was way cooler back then.
  
  They talked funny back then too.  One of my favorite quotes dealt with the Boston Massacre.
  
  "I was struck with a club on my arm, which for some time deprived me of the use of it, which blow had it been placed on my head, most probably would have destroyed me." - Thomas Preston

  I laughed forever when I read that.  They can turn something simple, like being hit in the arm, into a great sentence.  I like when the word destroyed is used to mean kill.
  
  I liked the parts about wars with the Indians too.  And how they would cut people's legs off and ears off.  Like this one Spanish guy who beat all these Indian's and then took the survivors and cut off their feet.  That way he made sure they wouldn't try to fight him again. That guy was funny.
