There's something crazy about a British accent. It just hypnotizes me.
Today I was running at the gym and I happened to turn the TV to C-SPAN. Normally I wouldn't spend more than .5 seconds there because it sucks.
However, today was my lucky day. They were showing the British House of Commons.
It is great. It is fast paced with arguments going back and forth. And the accents - as British as can be.
I stared transfixed for literally minutes. I heard them talking about giving money to schools, and wind power, and other worthless stuff. But yet, I couldn't look away.
One thing that's funny is how they are under the impression that they are important. They are just a little island now. With barely any influence.
And yet, they ramble on in glorious British accents the same way they did 300 years ago. Back when they mattered.
I want to join the House of Commons.
