  • Toilet Banter

I was at the store the other day and I noticed something in my toilet paper buying habits.

First of all, I must say that it's very important to buy good toilet paper.  Why try to save a few pennies and end up with a roll of glorified tissue paper?  Or a roll of perforated sand paper?

No thanks.  I'll throw in the extra dough to get the best possible paper.  When the price difference is so small, and the quality difference is so huge, it's a no brainer.

But that's just a fact.  The peculiarity I noticed has to do with the choice of artwork adorning the plastic bag holding the toilet paper.  I always pick the one with the dog.

I don't know. I just don't like identifying with a baby.  Yeah, I know.  It means the toilet paper is soft enough for a baby, or soft like a baby, or cuddly like a baby, whatever.  But it makes me feel like a baby for buying it.

But the golden retriever puppy?  I feel good about that.  It's comfortable and cute, yet still somewhat masculine.  Guys like puppies.  I like puppies.

So there you go.  That's how I ended up with Cottonelle featuring a puppy on it.

However, I think I remember buying the rolls with a cartoon bear before.  But that's a whole nother story.
