  • Full Speed Ahead

It had been about 5-6 years since I had run an actual mile on a track.  Until today, that is.

I've been training very regularly via elliptical for the past 1.5 years or so, so I was confident my stamina was good.

However, my running form is horrible.  I describe it as a sort of ape-caveman hybrid.  It features poor flow and lots of stomping.

Because of this, my legs often get hurt and I'd rather do the non-impact running of an elliptical.

Today though, I tried a mile on a track.  I completed it in 7:20.  This is the fastest I have ever done it since my superfast days of first grade.

Needless to say, I was quite proud of myself.  Next goal: 4 minutes.
