Why Does It Always Rain On Me?
So, I mentioned the other day how I finally made my bike operational again.
That didn't last long.
So I'm riding home from school, kicking ass as usual, and then suddenly BLAM!
I go flying off my bike and land in a heap on the concrete. Some cars stopped looking to see if I was okay from my horrific accident, but I just got up and laughed thinking "WTF?"
Upon inspection of the bike, I saw that my freaking pedal fell off. So apparently I was just peddling hard up the hill, and SNAP!, the pedal falls off and of course I go flying.
Then I had to decide what to do while I was bleeding profusely. I decided to take my bike back to school and then I locked it up and went inside the school to clean myself up.
I loved the looks I got from the passerbys.
My arm took the brunt of the injuries. And the tips of my fingers got skinned off. I took this picture of my arm via cell phone almost right after the injury.
Somehow, my bruises came instantaneously. Oh well, I'm a man, I can handle it.
But, needless to say, I think my riding my bike to school career is just about over.
Update: Being that my hand is raped, I have given in and bought workout gloves. I have always been anti gloves because your hands make your own gloves in the form of callouses. However, these gloves are actually pretty cool. And for some reason, girls claim they don't like calloused up hands. Working man hands should be hot. WTF?
While I was coming home from working out, I went to buy some more bandages at CVS. I accidently hit the cash back button, so I was like, "Okay, I'll get 10 dollars back."
Then the guy is like "We don't offer cash back." Then I looked at the machine and it said, "We do not offer cashback" on a sticker.
So I was like, "Okay. Do whatever you need to do." Then his manager came over and was like, "You have to give him the money anyway." Then she looked at me and was like "Is the sign there?" and I'm like, "I guess."
Let me translate your policy. You DO offer cashback. You just would rather tell people you don't. If I wanted to look at signs telling what to do all day, I'd sit around reading surgeon general's warnings on cigarettes.
But I don't. And I will get cash back from now on there until they deprogram that option from their machine.
