• The Basketball Jones

  If you dig deep enough, you can find plenty of chronicles of my basketball exploits on this very xanga.  In fact, from about the fall of 03 to the summer of 05, I was quite the gym rat.
  
  But, it was dreadfully clear that my skills had diminished to about the level of an infant recently.  However, I have rededicated myself.  I worked on my shot for a while yesterday, and it got to the point where I wasn't an airball everytime.
  
  Today, after some more shootaround, I considered myself ready to play a pickup game.  And I played three. 
  
  One thing I got going for me, is that oftimes I'm the tallest/girthiest person on my team, so that atleast gives me a role.  And today I played quite admirably.  My team won 2 of 3 games, and I scored an average amount.  This included knocking down my patented sky hook that I learned in 4th grade from this article about Shawn Bradley - the biggest waste of space in basketball history.
  
  So, I gotta say I'm happy about that right now.
  
  Plus, my new Andrei Kirilenko poster works as a huge inspiration.
