  • Stay Down

So I go to my stupid internet explorer homepage, rr.com, aka roadrunner's main page, which I am too lazy and not caring enough to change.  Actually I kind of like it because it keeps me abreast of what the big stories of the day are.  Well anyway, the little "Local News" sidebar, which is incidently set for Houston, comes up with this awesome headline "Sheryl Crow, Karl Rove Spar Over Global Warming."

Being that I have better ways of wasting my time, I will not bother to read this article.  But my initial reaction is as follows: "What the hell does Sheryl Crow know about global warming?"

I mean, come on.  She sings songs spouting pro-Santa Monica Blvd propaganda, love ballads with the old redneck known as Kid Rock, and some other random pop-crap songs about sunshine and the like.  I atleast assume Karl Rove went to college or has some semblance of education being that he's a big political advisor.

The most Sheryl "I used to date Lance Armstrong" Crow could possibly know about anything is whatever is shoved in her thick dome by internet fatalists and Al Gore documentaries.

What's next? Jewel recommending that the Fed raise interest rates? Shania Twain instilling an Iraq exit strategy?

Sheryl, if I want advice on how to have fun until the sun comes up, or how to do a terrible cover of a Guns 'N Roses song, I'll come to you first.

But for issues concerning anything that matters, you're last on my list of people to listen to; right after Paul Reubens.  Atleast Pee Wee had a magical word of the day and a talking couch, so he must be pretty smart.

sorry I did a drive by and didn't comment earlier,  I was just out looking for new people to talk to!  I noticed you were on my footprints,  and I'm sure thought I was wierd from my photos,  well,  I always forget to uncheck for public when I do a blog,  my bathroom sink, etc,  was on there for a blog tag of stuff around the house that people wanted to see!

anyhow,  I'm not a wierd stalker,  just wierd!

Yeah,  I saw that Crow was on Oprah the other day and was thinking the same thing!  (but I do like her version of Sweet Child of Mine!)

I guess star power gives people instant degrees in World Knowledge?  :P

Sir, I can't agree more with what you said there.
It's sad that in this country too many people are shouting out opinions on subjects they shouldn't have opinions on. Sometimes I think the First Amendment is great, but it should have a minimal IQ requirement. But on the other hand, we need people like Sheryl Crow to balance out the bunch of idiots in suits who went to law schools and think they know better than meterologists on the subject of global warming. After all, they have been censoring the real experts on this topic.
Sheryl probably has no idea what she is talking about, but she is loud, and sometimes good things are resulted from loud, idiotic peoples' screamings.
It's kinda sad, but it's also kinda true.
