  • Wreck N Effect

So, I got in a wreck this afternoon.  I was going straight down the road and this dude was in the opposite lane and wanted to turn left.  He didn't give himself enough time and then stopped in my lane and I hit him.  My car is fine but he had a dent in his front bumper.  We did not call the police, but we did exchange information.  He will call me tomorrow.  After researching the internet, I am very sure it was not my fault.  My car is fine so I'm not worried about any claims.

The following laws are Canadian, but I'm sure their close to ours.  I'm car A.   It's pretty much the bottom right.

    (4)  If automobile "B" is over the centre line of the road when the incident occurs, the driver of automobile "A" is not at fault and the driver of automobile "B" is 100 per cent at fault for the incident.

    R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 668, s. 12 (4).

    (5)  If automobile "B" turns left into the path of automobile "A", the driver of automobile "A" is not at fault and the driver of automobile "B" is 100 per cent at fault for the incident.

So, if we get a police report, I'm sure they'll agree with me.

Upon further consultation, we will each just take care of our own cars.  He even said in his call that it was "totally his fault." Being that mine is fine IMO, I'm not worried about it.

I still can't seem to shake the shakes though.  My arms feel like jelly and I'm all post traumatic stress feeling.  No good.
