  • Psychosomatic

Sometimes the weirdest things irk me.

As I strolled through campus the other day, I was enraged by how many people were wearing sandals.

"When did sandals become socially acceptable?"
"I know Jesus wore sandals, but that doesn't make it okay."
"I want to trip that guy in sandals."

These were just some of the statements reverberating through my head.

It's been acceptable to wear sandals with long jeans and whatnot for a while now, and I must say I've done it before.  However I can not describe how angry the act made me this particular day.  Some days I just wake up angry and I am on edge all day.  I'm sure there's some food/sleep/stress reaction somewhere that's responsible.  Sandal wearers were fans to my fire that day.

My main complaint is that people with sandals automatically walk slower.  And they make a flopping sound when they walk.

I walk at just under light speed, so anyone in my way becomes the victim of my patented curse of death and my mind bullets.

Another thing that amazes me to the point of anger some days is the amount of people who are always talking on their cell phones.  On most days, I'd estimate 35% of the people I pass walking on the street are on their phones.

And it's not just the beautiful people like me.  It's ugly people too.

Who are these ugly people talking to?  And who are the people talking to the ugly people?  They are probably even uglier and are calling from a circus tent or leper colony somewhere.

Oh brave new world that has such people in it...
